Terms and Conditions

Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before purchasing tickets. By purchasing tickets, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions which relate both to the sale of tickets and attendance at the event. These Terms and Conditions apply to both the original purchaser and any subsequent ticket holder.

The ACT Arts Centre reserves the right to change these terms and conditions at any time by posting a new version on this site. It is the Patrons responsibility to read the latest version of these terms and conditions before purchasing tickets.

By using this site and purchasing tickets, you represent that you are not a business, trader or person engaged in the resale of tickets.

PURCHASING YOUR TICKETS

  • All ticket orders must be paid in full at the time of purchase. All phone and online orders must be charged to a credit card before tickets are mailed or held for pick up (excluding school and group bookings).

  • Every attendee at ACT Presents performances must have a ticket, including babes-in-arms, unless otherwise stated.

RECEIVING YOUR TICKETS

Tickets can be received via email or can be picked up at the Box Office one hour prior to the show or during regular box office hours. Patrons picking up tickets must show a valid ID at the Box Office. Tickets can also be mailed for a small fee.

Patrons must bring a print or digital copy for scanning at the entrance on the day of the event.

TRANSFERING YOUR TICKET

Tickets are transferable. Patrons transferring tickets must give a print or digital copy to the attendee. Entry to the event will be denied if the attendee is unable to present a ticket.

REFUND, EXCHANGES & REPLACEMENTS

There are no refunds on ticket purchases. All sales are final. However, if a performance is cancelled or postponed, arrangements will be made to refund tickets or offer a tax receipt for donation of the value of the ticket.

  • ACT Presents shows: All ticket sales are final. Refunds can be donated to The ACT Arts Centre or exchanged for another show (if applicable)

  • Rental shows: Patron’s information and the reason for not attending will be passed on to the renter who will either allow or not allow the refund. The ACT reserves the right to refund tickets purchased for Rental client shows (if applicable).

At its discretion, The ACT Arts Centre may offer an exchange for a similar event in the ACT Presents series. Tickets can be exchanged for an equal or higher priced show within the same season (subject to availability) provided that the patron pays the price difference (if applicable).

Performances under ACT Presents cannot be exchanged for Rental shows or vice-versa.

A replacement ticket can be issued by contacting the ticket centre at info@mract.org or 604.476.2787 prior to the performance.

CANCELLATION, POSTPONEMENT AND/OR CHANGES TO YOUR EVENT

For Cancelled / postponed events, tickets are refunded including fees. Ticket amount can also be donated to The ACT Arts Centre or can be exchanged for another show within the same season if approved by The ACT Arts Centre. Ticket Centre Staff will contact all Patrons affected.

AT THE VENUE

A print or e-ticket is required to enter  the Ticketed event on the day of the event.

Patrons are requested to turn off electronic devices or put them on silent before entering any performance.

Outside food and beverages is prohibited in event areas. Snacks and beverages can be purchased and eaten in the lobby before the show and during intermission. Drinks can be pre-ordered for intermission from the bar on the day of the event. Beverages purchased at the bar are allowed in the theatre.

Professional photography, videography and/or audio recordings of any kind is not permitted.

Patrons are requested to avoid entering and exiting the theatre during a performance. Please note if you exit the theatre during a performance, you may be required to wait for re-entry.

You shall not bring into the venue or display or distribute (whether for free or not) at the event any sponsorship, promotional or marketing materials.

All patrons are expected to abide by the Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows Arts Councils’ Code of Conduct. Any person or persons violating the Code of Conduct, including but not limited to abusive, threatening, drunken or other anti-social behavior, or carrying weapons or illegal or prohibited substances, will be refused admission without compensation or refund and may be barred from future access to the facility .
